Those are the type of bucks that are just big and mean and will run a bigger scoring buck off. Check in for more, we are a week away!

On the new farm we have had the cameras out for about two weeks now. We are very excited with a couple of these bucks and looking forward to getting started chasing them. The next few weeks are critical for the deer, the heat in the midwest is terrible and the drought it really hurting the animals. If you have a water source on your property to hunt, that will be a great place to start this season. I know we have cameras up on the water hole, and the deer are hammering the water, and the Buck Buffet is getting thrashed. While water is number one, if you have the correct proteins, minerals and feed available, these next two weeks of antler growth are when you get a lot of cool “kickers and stickers” to develop. I would guess we will see velvet start to come off by the 15th of August. Check back in and see if I am right!

I found two of my Moultrie Cameras missing, where someone had taken the time to break into the bear boxes they were in, and steal them. I was mad, as I had the right to be, these were the 4th or 5th cameras stolen this year from this piece of ground. I took to my twitter account and said something about it yesterday. This morning I was greeted with a nice message from Moultrie. I know they have thousands of followers and hear it EVERY day some thug took something that wasnt his, but for Moultrie to take the time to send me a nice note and say sorry, meant a lot to me. I will continue to use Moultrie products on our farms in Oklahoma and Kansas, for many reasons, but now, it is personal. Thank you Moultrie for making a reliable, affordable, and quality product. You guys are awesome!
