I had the honor to harvest a beautiful whitetail in Kansas on Friday. This was the first time I have shot a buck with a gun in over 15 years, however it was something I had to do. I have twin boys at home and don’t have as much time to spend in the woods first, secondly, this buck had a broken front leg and was suffering. I hated to shoot him, as he was only a 3 year old buck that could have really grown to a giant next year, however it was the right thing to do. In Kansas, you get one buck but I am very happy to have this buck to hang on my wall. Hopefully I will get some time in a tree in Oklahoma before the end of the season!
